As many of you know, I’ve been busy working on a remake of the Shelter.
The basic outline is done, so I’ll share some of the pictures

The basic outline of the Shelter. It looks almost the same, but the patio is quite a bit larger. I’ve extended the pool deck 10 meters into Wingo, so that more people can attend the Pool Party.

Added on to the side of the pool deck is a permanent movie theater. This should replace the Nickelodeon that is in the air, with something more accessible.

The Game Stage has been redesigned slightly. It now faces a new direction, so that getting over the sim boundary and flying through the chairs shouldn’t be an issue as much.

Behind the wall that the Game Stage faces are the New Resident Vendors. There is room for 15 vendors with 10 products each. New Residents under 90 days will be able to take advantage of this service for a free 60 day lease. After their lease is up, they will need to leave and make room for another New Resident.

Before I started working on SecondFortune I had created a rudimentary Acronym game called AcroLife. The Oldbies at the Shelter will probably remember me running a few games of it. As with all the projects I take on, they continually receive updates and upgrades throughout the course of their life. However, AcroLife somehow managed to find itself being deleted in what I will call an “Asset Server Failure”, meaning it failed to ask me if I was sure I wanted to delete something from my inventory, and subsequently my trash.
So here I am about 2 years later still recreating an improved version of the game. What do I have to show for my years of labor? A board to display the acronym, a scoreboard, and 4 bullet displays. Building the set was the hard part!
What’s left? All the internal scripting so that people are able to play!
I’ll end this post with an image of the game in its current form!

Well, I figured since 2006 is almost over it was time for me to finally get around to getting my own blog.
Those who know me are well aware that I usually say very little, so the point of me having a blog is rather moot.
However, I do have an insane list of projects that I am working on, and will probably end up posting information on those to keep the general public informed of their progress.
With that in mind, check back often to see what’s up my sleeves!
